RAIN GARDEN DEDICATION Saturday, May 18 • 10:00am
Meet at the Normanoch Clubhouse, East Shore Culver Road, Branchville, NJ
On May 18th the Foundation will dedicate the Rain Garden that was constructed last fall on the Normanoch Clubhouse grounds. The Foundation took the lead role in creating and directing the project, with major contributions by the Boy Scouts, led by Tristan Caffrey, the Wallkill River Watershed Management Group, local business contributions, and contractor volunteers. A sign will be installed explaining how rain gardens work and the value they provide as green infrastructure.
The Foundation plans to encourage similar environmental projects wherever storm water runoff is a problem in the watershed. Information on rain garden construction will be available at the event.
Partners working on the Rain Garden construction including:
Pierson’s Landscaping and Excavating, Rutger’s Water Resources Program, WRWMG, Foundation members, and the Boy Scouts.
